Come Home Before Dark coverIn Come Home Before Dark young writers from British Columbia reflect upon the range of human experience and emotion. From love to grief, youth to age, regret to anticipation and pathos to humour, these profound selections by writers aged eight to eighteen reveal the concerns on the minds of today’s youth. War, relationships, body image, media manipulation, time and change are a few of the themes explored through poetry, fiction and creative non-fiction in this ground-breaking anthology.

The vivid language, depth of content and imaginative scope of the writing presented demonstrates a generation with a penetrating eye for truth and awakened personal values. The young authors of Come Home Before Dark show us a world of both wonder and pain, in voices that echo with lyric freshness and uncanny wisdom.
